# Meter简介

## **什么是Meter?**

Meter是DeFi基础设施，具有内置的、加密货币原生的、可转移的货币。 它的功能是为以太坊和其他公共链提供一个高度去中心化、高性能的EVM兼容侧链。

Meter系统使用工作证明（Proof of Work）来创建一个完全去中心化的、低波动性的代币MTR，用于收费和支付，并使用基于HotStuff的权益证明与MTRG治理代币来验证交易。
